I will keep this short and to the point. I got the 2 meat plate. A little pricey for the amount of food you get.The ribs had this huge layer of fat with little meat. The fries that came as a side were just one salty mess. In my opinion all fries should be naked let the consumer decide to put salt or not. The other side was coleslaw which was okay. From now on I will stick to the neighborhood bbq joints and the mom and pops. At least I know I'll get good food at a good price.

Enjoyed my first visit yesterday for lunch with a coworker. I had the pulled pork and brisket with smoked Mac n cheese and grilled green beans. They have a great selection of sauces. My favorite was the jalapeño Maple and there original sauce.

We love this place! So so so good, and being from Texas we love our BBQ. We always have the same sweet server; she's excellent. Usually we split the Mini Skinny - plenty of food for two - but everything else we've tried is awesome. Our favorite appetizer is the fried sticks (onions and jalapenos). YUM! We're lunch regulars and will be for a long time to come.

I really liked the pulled pork, brisket, deep fried pickles, BBQ salad, and all the different BBQ sauce varieties. The service was terrific too. I only wish they had local microbrew on tap (I only saw bud), but they did have LA31 in bottles. Great stop overall.

Awarding four stars for the "fresh catch", in a BBQ joint, that looks like an old Burger King, turned Mexican cantina, doesn't feel quite right, but the food and service was that good! I walked in with full intentions of ordering BBQ, but when I saw the "special board" advertising the "fresh catch", blacked drum with two sides for $16.75, I changed course, and didn't look back. The fish was obviously very fresh, prepared and seasoned, perfectly. The mac & cheese (lives up to the hype) and cole slaw sides, completed my dinner trifecta. I washed it all down with the local brew, LA 31, and left with a smile on my face. Don't go to East Gate for the ambiance. Go for the great food and friendly, small-town service.

I judge a BBQ place by their ribs. The ribs here were not any good. I work for a BBQ pit company and I can make better ribs at my own house. Now with that out of the way the rest of it isn't bad. I like the fries and the pulled pork and I can't remember the name of it but it is a smaller version of their competition eating burger. That was a very good. The prices are a little high but with prices of meat always rising its becoming common with most bbq joints. One of the better places to go in MC.

Service was great. Loved the meat but didn't care for the sauce. Cleanliness is about 2 or 3 star. Mac and cheese was really good as well.

OMG the pulled pork salad was the absolute best I have ever had! They put everything in it! 2 people probably could share it.

Best BBQ in town! Love everything, but my fav is the homemade sausage! Yum! Always get the 'whole hog' plate bc my eyes are always bigger than my stomach, but it's even better the next day! And you have to try the amazing sauces!!! Huge Que Dat fan!

Mom and Pop atmosphere and nice staff. Not the best BBQ I had but not the worst. I got the brisket. I would go again when in morgan city but there isn't much competition in that town for BBQ places

Craving for BBQ was satisfied...somewhat. Not much variety in good old Morgan City, but had a craving for some bbq. This place is relatively new so I wanted to give them a try. I'm a big fan of bbq and have tried bbq from Texas to Tennessee. Inside the place looks like a typical dive like a mom and pop restaurant with a nice homely feel. On the menu, they state that their bbq is cooked and smoked on their wood burning pit. I wanted some ribs, but they ran out for the day so I decided to get the "You Ole Hog" which is a combination plate with 3 meats and 2 sides. Since there was no ribs, I went ahead and got the brisket, pulled pork, and sausage along a BIG cup of raspberry iced tea. The two sides I got was the potato salad and mac and cheese. I'll start off with the sides; the mac and cheese was just meh. I was expecting cheesy goodness, but it tasted like cheapo brand boxed mac and cheese. The potato salad was decent and is mustard based. Since this is a bbq place , I can forgive them for their sides since the meats are suppose to be the main attraction. So I tried out the pulled pork first and a lot of the pieces were kind of burnt, and the ones that wasn't tasted pretty good. It had a nice smokey flavor and not mushy like most pulled pork I've tried. Next stop: sausage town. The sausage is homemade and tasted very good. Tasted like a smoked Italian bbq sausage which was fine by me since I like Italian sausage. And then there was the brisket. I'm not a fan of chopped brisket so I'm glad they served sliced briskets instead. The briskets was tender and good, but I wished it was even more tender and a lil less chewy. Don't like eating a rubber tire you know. A lil more time on the pit would probably work wonders. In all I enjoyed it and the bbq served its' purpose and satisfied my bbq craving. I'll definitely be back to try their ribs and burgers. Oh yea they also have something called the Big Skinny which cost $50 on the menu. It's four 8 oz. black Angus burgers on a 24 inch loaf of French bread topped with brisket, pulled pork, cheddar, pepper jack, and American cheese, then finished with sauteed mushrooms and grilled onions.

If you want a good old fashion BBQplate lunch. This us a great place to eat. It's Mom and Pop atmosphere home cooking and good service with a smile On the menu, the veggie is fresh from market. On menu board is a note "When we are out , we are out. Always fresh.
